Service Project to Sunrise Senior Living Center

Posted on Jul 26 2011 - 1:17am

We have scheduled a visit for Pack 710 at the Metairie Sunrise Senior Living Center (3732 West Esplanade Avenue) at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011. As in past years, the Scouts will spend time visiting with the residents, playing games, and even performing a few musical numbers or comedy routines. This is a very informal and relaxed event.  Scouts who wish to sing, play an instrument, or perform a skit for the residents are welcome to do so. Scouts are encouraged to bring their musical instruments or any games that the seniors may enjoy.  Sunrise has a piano available.  Please note: no one will be expected to perform.  The residents really enjoy just spending time with the kids.  Unfortunately, some of these folks don't get many visitors.

Please let me know if you are planning to attend.  Sunrise usually provides snacks and I need to tell them how many people to expect.  If you have any questions or need more information, please call me at 606-6821.
